How do I apply to work for VUMC TempForce?
Go to the Work at VUMC website and and click on the TempForce link under the Job Search tab at top. If you don't have a computer, you can come to the HR Express office at 2525 West End Avenue, 2nd floor, to use one of our computer stations. Hours are Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What kinds of jobs are available through TempForce?
TempForce fills clerical, technical, service, allied health, finance, administrative, and professional assignments at Vanderbilt University Medical Center including One Hundred Oaks and VMG Williamson County clinics. For nursing positions, please contact the Clinical Staffing Resource Center.

What happens after I apply? 
We will review your resume and if your skills, education, and experience match current job assignments, we will contact you for an interview. Before you are hired, you will need to provide employment references and complete a criminal background check.

How long do job assignments last? 
Job assignments range from a half day to six months. Typically a TempForce employee cannot work more than six months on a single assignment.

Do temporary employees receive benefits? 
Yes, you and your dependent children are eligible for VUMC Health Plan coverage. The health coverage is optional so you will not be automatically enrolled. You are also eligible to participate in the VUMC Retirement Plan (403B). You are not eligible for flexible spending accounts or dental or vision insurance.
