The HR Benefits team will host several opportunities in the coming weeks for employees to learn more about Open Enrollment and what’s new this year as well as learn how to make changes to your plans and make the most of your benefits. 2024 Virtual Benefits FairSept. 23 – Oct. 4

Open Enrollment for 2025 benefits begins Oct. 17 and ends Oct. 31. Open Enrollment is your chance to review and update your benefits, including health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and flexible spending accounts. The benefits you choose will take effect on Jan. 1, 2025, and last until Dec. 31, 2025. 

For this year’s Open Enrollment — which takes place Oct. 17-31 — there is good news to share with you. The details of the health care benefits plans — including networks, coverage, and copays — will remain the same as we transition to a new administrator of the VUMC health plan. For the 2025 plan year, our health plan will be administered by Meritain Health, a subsidiary of Aetna. Below are five things to know about our switch to Meritain.
