You should have received a 1095-C form from Vanderbilt University Medical Center, delivered to the home address listed in Workday. You can also find a copy of this form in Workday by clicking on Benefits and Pay, then Benefits, then ACA form or by searching the term "ACA form." The form will be available in Workday, beginning March 1. This form, which is for the 2023 tax year, outlines each person in your household covered by VUMC’s health plan during the year, and which months they were covered.

Time's ticking to spend the rest of your Flexible Spending Account(s). The deadline for spending money in your 2023 FSA is March 15, and the deadline to file a claim for your 2023 FSA is April 15. But fear not, we can help you turn those deadlines into a fun-filled savings adventure!

Nominations are open for the 2024 VUMC Administrative Professionals Award. The award is presented each year typically during national Administrative Professionals Week and highlights the contribution of the Medical Center’s administrative professionals.

Your 2023 W-2 form, IRS wage and tax forms have been mailed to your current mailing address on file in Workday (typically your home address).  W-2 forms will also be available electronically in Workday on Jan. 31. To access your W-2 in Workday:

The deadline to donate and request flexPTO hours through the VUMC flexPTO Donate program for fiscal 2024 is at 11:59 p.m. May 31.  The program allows employees to donate flexPTO to a specific employee experiencing a hardship due to a medical emergency.  How do I donate? Most VUMC employees are eligible to donate flexPTO for use by a colleague. You may donate up to 40 hours of your flexPTO in 8-hour increments per fiscal year. However, you must have a combined flexPTO and sick bank total of 80 hours remaining after the donation. 

To manage your flexible spending account (FSA) account, you will need to log in to the WEX FSA portal at https://www.myfsaexpress.com/.  The online portal provides you a single access point for your account, where you can process and view claims and find resources to manage your FSA.

As you may know, MetLife bought Superior Vision, the former carrier for VUMC’s vision insurance. The new carrier for the 2024 plan year is Superior Vision by MetLife. If you are enrolled in the VUMC vision plan, your benefits will not change.

Vanderbilt Medical Center has completed and submitted the Form 5500 in compliance under Title I and Title IV of the ERISA and under the Internal Revenue Code for all self-funded benefit plans offered at VUMC.     Employees can review the Summary Annual Reports (SAR) that provide a summary of the financial information contained on the Form 5500 and a statement of the right to receive an annual report.
