Summer has ended, and now is the time for your high schooler to begin college planning for the fall. As an employee, you and your family have access to several resources from Bright Horizons to help you with the college admissions and financial planning process.

As we embark on a new year, we want to remind you of some important considerations regarding our VUMC health plan and its administrator, Meritain Health. This is an excellent time to familiarize yourself with the services and resources available through Meritain. Your 2024 W-2 form, IRS wage, and tax forms have been mailed to your current mailing address on file in Workday (typically your home address). W-2 forms will also be available electronically in Workday on Jan. 30. To access your W-2 in Workday:

The VUMC Pulse Survey ends Jan. 19, but there is still time for you to make your voice heard.

The VUMC Pulse Survey begins today and is open through Jan. 19. Today, you will receive a personalized email with a unique link inviting you to participate in the Pulse Survey.

It’s that time of year again — W-2 forms for 2024 will be sent out at the end of January 2025. 2024 W-2 forms will be mailed to current employees and former employees who earned money from VUMC during the 2024 calendar year. This form contains important information about your income, taxes withheld from your paychecks, and some benefits that you will need to complete your 2024 income tax returns. 

Please be aware of some key payroll deadlines to help ensure that your employee’s tax record is accurate for tax year 2024.This information will help you take the proper steps to make sure you meet the submission deadlines on the following items:

Due to the observance of the the New Year's Day holiday on Wednesday, Jan. 1, the normal due dates for submitting hourly payroll information have been adjusted.  Please note the changes below to ensure your staff members are paid accurately and timely on the Friday, Jan. 3 payday.  Kronos Deadlines:Employee timesheet corrections/approvals MUST BE COMPLETED BY 9 AM ON MONDAY, DEC. 30.

In a few days, VUMC health plan members will receive new benefits ID cards from Meritain. This ID card is valid beginning Jan. 1, 2025. Please continue to use your current Aetna ID card until Dec. 31, 2024. As a reminder, your new Meritain ID card doubles as your Navitus pharmacy benefit ID card. To ensure a smooth transition and to avoid any gaps in your medical and pharmacy coverage, we recommend you do the following:
