Volunteers needed for Flulapalooza

Flulapalooza® is a Vanderbilt University Medical Center annual event providing flu vaccination to faculty and staff at no charge. This year’s event will be held in an outdoor tent between Light Hall and the Veterans Administration (VA) on Wednesday, September 28, from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.  Each year, the Flulapalooza planning committee works to create a festival-like tone to make the event both efficient and fun for all involved. This annual event is traditionally staffed by our employee volunteers, and we need your support, by volunteering a minimum of two hours.

Referral bonus grand prize awarded

The $20,000 grand prize for the referral bonus pilot has been awarded to an administrative professional from the Academic Enterprise who referred her daughter for a position at VUMC. The referral bonus pilot – which has been extended to Sept. 30, 2022 – was launched last fall as a way for VUMC to quickly fill open full-time positions. Employees who successfully refer someone to VUMC are eligible for up to $5,000 depending on the position.
