VUMC announces new parking citation process

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) works to ensure that the use of its parking areas is optimal for patients, employees, volunteers, vendors and visitors. This is done by having an employee parking permit process that uses specifically designated areas for the many populations that access our hospital and clinic parking facilities. 

Annual compliance portal opens Jan. 28, 2022

The annual fiscal year 2022 compliance portal opens Jan. 28 and runs through June 15. The annual training course takes about 35 minutes to complete. You can review the topic before you answer each question. After answering the question correctly, the question feedback provides additional information and reinforcement of the policies and procedures we are all required to follow. You can save or print out the information contained in 2022 FY Annual Training through the course’s resource tab. With the mobile friendly format, the training is easily completed on a phone or tablet.

VUMC Staff Wellness Check-In survey extended to Oct. 19

The deadline to take the VUMC Staff Wellness Check-In survey has been extended to Oct. 19. Please take a few minutes to tell leaders what resources are working in your area to help you cope during this recent COVID-19 surge and what additional support is needed to help you continue to make a difference to our patients across the region.

The VUMC Staff Wellness Check-In survey ends Oct. 12, but there is still time for you to make your voice heard. You should have received an email from VUMC Staff Wellness Check-In (noreply@qualtrics-survey.com) with the subject line: Take the VUMC Staff Wellness Check-In Today. The email contains your unique survey link and should not be shared with coworkers. If you accidentally deleted your email, you will receive email reminders on Oct.

Our highest responsibility is to care for people, and that includes you, the people of VUMC. With that in mind, we will defer this year’s VUMC Culture Survey to instead focus on the wellbeing of our staff. The VUMC Culture Survey, which includes the employee engagement survey, will be back next spring.

VUMC employees can receive subsidized backup childcare through Care.com

Sometimes emergencies happen – sick kids or school closings – that cause you to need backup childcare. VUMC offers employees a benefit through Care.com that gives you several options for backup care. With the Care.com benefit, VUMC employees receive up to 20 days (per fiscal year — July 1 through June 30) of subsidized backup childcare at home or at local, vetted childcare centers.
