Navitus Cost Compare Tool can save your money on prescriptions
With the cost of prescription drugs continually increasing, it pays to shop around. Navitus Health Solutions, which manages the VUMC pharmacy benefit, has released a new online price tool that will help you search for retailers that offer the lowest prescription drug prices. Here’s how it works:
90-Day prescription refills now available at in-network pharmacies
Beginning April 1, 2018, members of the VUMC Health Plan will be able to purchase 90-day prescription refills at all eligible pharmacies, such as Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, Publix, Walmart and Costco. Currently, only VUMC pharmacies can fill a 90-day prescription. The 90-day refill option means fewer trips to the pharmacy. The copays and maximums will be three times the 30-day copay and maximum rate for the health plan tier in which you are enrolled. See below for a sample price comparison. To find out if your pharmacy is eligible, contact Navitus at 866.333.2757.

Most discounts are available to employees year-round, but some are seasonal or related to a specific event and for a limited event. The best way to stay in-the-know is to subscribe to the VUMC Discount listserv.
On-demand learning: mastering customer service
In our jobs, we have many “customers” — our patients, their families, our leaders, coworkers and teammates. And these customers have very different demands, so delivering the best customer service can sometimes be challenging.
On-demand learning: dealing with difficult people
We’ve all been frustrated by that difficult client or coworker. But how you handle those situations can make the difference between career success and career sabotage. My Quick Coach offers several brief video courses on topics, such as dealing with grudges and grievances, handling difficult people in teams and how to stop having difficult conversations.
