5 things to know about Meritain, the new VUMC health plan administrator

For this year’s Open Enrollment — which takes place Oct. 17-31 — there is good news to share with you. The details of the health care benefits plans — including networks, coverage, and copays — will remain the same as we transition to a new administrator of the VUMC health plan. For the 2025 plan year, our health plan will be administered by Meritain Health, a subsidiary of Aetna. Below are five things to know about our switch to Meritain.

Annual evaluations deadline extended one week!

Due to the Joint Commission visit earlier this month, we have extended the deadline for annual evaluations by one week to provide support for managers who may need more time. Leaders now have until Sept. 7 to complete all evaluations for their eligible staff for the fiscal year 2024 cycle. As you know, annual evaluations give leaders a chance to connect with their staff and provide feedback, recognize good work, identify opportunities for improvement, and help their employees grow.Prepare for your annual discussion.
