It’s that time of year again when all staff complete their self-evaluations for the annual review process. The deadline for completing these evaluations for all staff is July 1, so don’t forget to submit yours before then.As you know, self-evaluations are required for all nursing staff members. Other managers can choose to make self-evaluations optional or mandatory for their employees.

With the start of fiscal 2025, more VUMC employees will have the opportunity to take self-paced learning modules to gain access to the eStar system.Self-paced learning (SPL) provides flexibility for employees to take training remotely and have more control over their schedules. It is expected to replace key virtual or in-person instructor-led courses. The goal of the approach is to equip learners with a flexibility that supports different learning styles and can be completed independently at home. Learners are welcome to take their SPL courses at our training center.
