VUMC has posted Summary Annual Reports for insurance plans

Vanderbilt Medical Center has completed and submitted the Form 5500 in compliance under Title I and Title IV of the ERISA and under the Internal Revenue Code for all self-funded benefit plans offered at VUMC.     Employees can review the Summary Annual Reports (SAR) that provide a summary of the financial information contained on the Form 5500 and a statement of the right to receive an annual report. You can find the Summary Annual Reports on the HR website.

Deadlines to request 2024 summer interns approaching soon

This summer, VUMC will host summer internship programs for veterans and high school students. The Hiring Heroes, Veterans Fellowship Internship program allows veterans to gain industry-specific skills, professional networks, and potentially secure post-service employment. It provides an opportunity for military personnel to explore different industries, enhancing their job readiness.

Confirm your mailing address in Workday to ensure timely delivery of 2023 W-2

2023 W-2 forms will be mailed to current employees and former employees who earned money from VUMC during the 2023 calendar year. This form contains important information about your income, taxes withheld from your paychecks, and some benefits that you will need to complete your 2023 income tax returns. Your form will be sent to your current mailing address in Workday (typically your home address) by the end of January. To ensure timely delivery of the 2023 W-2 form, you should make sure your mailing address is correct in Workday by Jan. 10, 2024.

Take note of December holiday payroll processing deadlines

Due to the observance of the holidays on Friday, Dec. 22 and Monday, Dec. 25, the normal due dates for submitting hourly payroll information have been adjusted.  Please note the changes below to ensure your staff members are paid accurately and timely on the Thursday, Dec. 21 payday.  This will be the last payroll processed for 2023.

Tips to make men's health a priority

In many parts of the world, November is Men’s Health Awareness Month — also known as Movember — when men grow mustaches to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate and testicular caner and mental health. November is also a good time to schedule a physical with your primary care physician and any other suggested preventative care screenings because taking care of your health doesn’t have to be hairy.
