Annual compliance training starts tomorrow

This year, annual compliance training will run from March 1 to June 15. This training provides a way for you to stay current and compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Here is what you need to know about this year’s training.

Talent Acquisition Team hosts Medical Assistant Trainee Program information sessions

The VUMC Talent Operations team is hosting information sessions throughout January, February and March to talk about the Vanderbilt Medical Assistant Program, which is a partnership between Nashville State Community College and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in the Center for Programs in Allied Health. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to pursue a high-demand career in health care and provides the opportunity to work as a Medical Assistant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

VUMC Rebadging Project Begins Soon

To standardize VUMC ID badges across all entities, Medical Center Card Services will begin a rebadging project for the majority of staff. New badges may include the employee’s first name and last initial, title, department name, color stripe if applicable as well as up to three credentials. Additional changes to current badges include:

Referral bonus grand prize awarded

The $20,000 grand prize for the referral bonus pilot has been awarded to an administrative professional from the Academic Enterprise who referred her daughter for a position at VUMC. The referral bonus pilot – which has been extended to Sept. 30, 2022 – was launched last fall as a way for VUMC to quickly fill open full-time positions. Employees who successfully refer someone to VUMC are eligible for up to $5,000 depending on the position.
