The annual performance evaluation process for the fiscal year 2023 cycle will start July 25 with the launch of self-evaluations for all staff. Starting Aug. 15, all managers can begin their part of the evaluation process. The deadline to complete all evaluations is Oct. 10.

A deductible is the amount of money you, as the policyholder, must pay out of pocket for covered medical expenses before the insurance company starts to contribute towards the cost of your care. Deductibles are set on an annual basis, meaning you must meet the deductible amount each year.  Coinsurance is the percentage you pay for certain services — even after your deductible is met. For example, your co-insurance may be 20 percent, which means you pay 20 percent of the cost of care. The insurer, in this case VUMC, pays the remaining 80 percent.

How to request a replacement VUMC ID badge

VUMC issues an official identification badge to new and existing employees. The ID badge also permits access to buildings and serves as identification at various employee events. There are times when an employee may need a replacement badge from the VUMC Card Services office.

Key dates to know for fiscal year 2023 flexPTO cutover

As fiscal year 2023 comes to a close, there are several important dates to know about your flexPTO allotments. At the end of fiscal years 2023, 2024 and 2025, staff can roll over up to 40 hours of unused flexPTO to sick time off with a cap added for a total number of sick hours to be 160 hours.

Internal mobility event for current VUMC employees is May 10

The VUMC Talent Operations team is hosting a virtual internal mobility event Wednesday, May 10, 11 a.m. – noon, via Teams. Recruiters will be on hand to conduct mock interviews, review your resume and offer coaching to help you land your next dream job within VUMC. They will also be available to help show you how to search for and apply for an internal job in Workday. All employees are invited to attend. 

VUMC offers employees 15% CSA membership discount

Once again, employees have a chance to enroll in a CSA at a discounted rate of 15 percent. We have partnered with Rooted Community Health and three of the best local farms to offer this program. CSA stands for community supported agriculture and works like a subscription program for fresh vegetables.
