Thirty-five years of dedicated service is a remarkable achievement deserving of praise and recognition. This year's honorees have played a pivotal role in many of the health system’s successes, from the construction of new buildings and the introduction of new services to the growth of our workforce. These individuals have had a front-row seat to the evolution of Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).

Take a few minutes to pop-in for a snack Friday, Oct. 25.  To show appreciation to our employees for their hard work and dedication, HR is once again hosting a Fall Employee Appreciation Event, during which employees can pick up a free bag of popcorn. Open Enrollment 2025: Health Plans Comparison

VUMC offers three health plan options: Plus, Select and the Health Savers Plan. The health plans differ in how much the employee is required to pay for premiums, deductibles and coinsurance, the limits to how much employees will pay out-of-pocket as well as prescription drug coverage and the availability of a flexible spending account (FSA) versus a health savings account (HSA).The infographic below details the differences and similarities between VUMC’s health plans.

5 things to know about annual goal setting process

This month, we continue to set goals for the fiscal year 2025 performance management cycle. All employees are encouraged to have their annual goals in the system no later than Sept. 30. It is important to remember that both leaders and employees are able to add and revise goals as needed throughout the year.
