This Open Enrollment season, the Benefits Team is offering several ways for employees to get answers to their questions, including offering an Open Enrollment information sheet and the Open Enrollment home mailer translated into Arabic and Spanish. Take a few minutes to pop-in for a snack Friday, Oct. 25.  To show appreciation to our employees for their hard work and dedication, HR is once again hosting a Fall Employee Appreciation Event, during which employees can pick up a free bag of popcorn. Below are the dates, locations and times for the event, which includes multiple days across 15 different sites.

VUMC offers three health plan options: Plus, Select and the Health Savers Plan. The health plans differ in how much the employee is required to pay for premiums, deductibles and coinsurance, the limits to how much employees will pay out-of-pocket as well as prescription drug coverage and the availability of a flexible spending account (FSA) versus a health savings account (HSA).The infographic below details the differences and similarities between VUMC’s health plans.

Open Enrollment for 2025 benefits begins Oct. 17. Beginning today, you can access all the necessary resources you need to make the best choices for you and your family on the Open Enrollment website.

This month, we continue to set goals for the fiscal year 2025 performance management cycle. All employees are encouraged to have their annual goals in the system no later than Sept. 30. It is important to remember that both leaders and employees are able to add and revise goals as needed throughout the year.

Each year, during Open Enrollment, you can contribute to a health care or dependent day care flexible spending account. Flexible spending accounts, or FSAs, allow you to set aside pretax dollars to pay for eligible out-of-pocket medical, dental and vision expenses and/or dependent day care expenses throughout the year.

The MyHealth Bundles program continues in 2025 with streamlined, convenient care that leads to improved outcomes and saves employees money. VUMC employees and their dependents* enrolled in the VUMC health plans are eligible to participate in the bundles program.
