The annual evaluation process started this week with the launch of self-evaluations for all staff. It’s done through Workday, which is a streamlined and efficient way for employees and managers to provide feedback and assess performance. Nurses must do a self-evaluation, but other managers can choose if their staff members need to do one.This article provides a high-level overview of the annual evaluation process in Workday and aims to help staff understand the steps involved. Here is what you need to know:

Beginning on Sept. 1, 2024, there will be a change in the lactation room scheduling that will make it easier for nursing mothers to access our facilities. As you know, VUMC is committed to supporting nursing mothers, and we have established several lactation rooms across our facilities that are available for use.

Recently, we’ve seen an uptick in phishing and spam marketing emails about retirement planning coming to employees’ vumc.org email addresses. One such email is from State Pension Advisors and invites employees to schedule an appointment to discuss a pension program. Please be aware that neither this email nor the sender is representative of Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).  Nor does the organization have a pension program. This email is a spam marketing attempt. 

The annual evaluation process for the fiscal year 2024 cycle will start June 4 with self-evaluations for all staff. Starting July 2, all managers can begin their part of the evaluation process. The deadline to complete all evaluations is Aug. 31.
